Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 21, 2021 Report Posted January 21, 2021 Okay, Sparky. Now what? Quote
Brawndo Posted January 21, 2021 Author Report Posted January 21, 2021 Given that Dustin Tolarski was promoted to the taxi squad and not the active roster, maybe Ullmark is ready to return to play. Quote

Different sport, but Brett Favre gave one of the best performances of his career one day after his dad died in 2003. Threw for 399 yards and 4 touchdowns on Monday Night Football. 1 Quote

Allen looked pretty good mourning grandma as well. Ullmark could be a beast, a puddle, or in between. Pretty sure that Krueger will handle this the right way. He has so far, IMHO. 3 Quote

He said that when he lost his wife, he took a couple of days and then was eager to be back with his WGR "family." This makes a lot of sense to me. There is a search for some sort of "regular-ness" when grieving. Anything you can latch on to, really. While I'm sure that Ullmark is anxious for the chance to travel back to Sweden for a memorial of some sort (I have no idea what countries are allowing funerals, etc. right now), I'm also pretty sure that being around his teammates is just as important as being around his wife and son right now. 2 Quote
