erickompositör72 Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Last year, every team focused on the Eichel line to shut us down. This year, I think teams won't be able to shut that line down, no matter how hard they try. Also, our second line can now be lethal, as well. Which line do you all think will benefit the most from matchups? Quote
Huckleberry Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Well I'm staying up , hope it goes well xD Quote

Isn't is a good thing that we finally have enough good players to actually push Skinner down to the 3rd or 4th line?! A little confused by this. He wasn't pushed out of the top 6 based on talent - I agree it's a good thing he can be subbed in for there, but that's not the same as saying it's good we are able to push him specifically down the lineup. Has that been a goal? If it's more a general comment not specifically pertaining to Skinner, on the fact we can afford to put a T6 player on a B6 line, I agree totally. Every player in the top six is not the same exact player. They all do what they do well and work together to make a line. With the right linemates, I think Jeff could light it up on the 3/4 line. 1 Quote

He's someone specifically you'd rather not be in the top 6, I take it? I don't have an argument here tbh I'm just asking out of interest. I don't see him as someone who inherently can't be in a top 6 though so I haven't been looking to get him out of there. Edited January 14, 2021 by Thorny Quote

The "finally" was that we have actually have some talent on the team where we are able to move a Skinner down the lineup. I think it bodes well for our chances. 1 Quote

LTS Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 It really boils down to this... Is my hangover tomorrow caused by: Beers of Joy Beers of Sorrow Either way, I'm ready... so ready... Quote
Radar Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Bottom line? Skinner contract a disaster. Could Hall extension possibility be effected by our experience of the KO and Skinner contracts? I would think so. 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 I’ll be interested to see if RK’s system continues to neuter Dahlin, or will he be allowed to carry the puck more, and be a greater force in the offensive zone. Quote

Doohicksie Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Looks like the MSG feed is available on NHL.tv/Center Ice. So the ESPN+ nuclear option is not needed (I was going to subscribe if NHL.tv didn't carry the local feeds). Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Driving home I heard on GR that Hutton is starting? Is that right? Quote
SwampD Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 I think we roll Washington tonight. 1 Quote

Thorner Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 I feel like it means Krueger trusts Hutton. I'm sure he values getting off to a good start, you'd wanna play your best goalie or at least something very close to, wouldn't you? The other side is "we'll have more offensive pop tonight for the season opener so I'll save Ullmark for tomorrow" but I'm not sure that's very solid footing as basis. 1 Quote
Shmuffalo Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Huh, thought Ullmark was labeled the starter, whatever. LETS GO BUFFALO! I have a Voodoo Barrel Room Collection stout waiting for puck drop! Cheers, guys! 1 Quote
Thorner Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 I think we win this if the PP clicks. If the league has forgotten about Olofsson a little bit he'll get some good ones off. Quote
Zamboni Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Yea I figured they wouldn’t keep Jeff Skinner on the fourth line… He’s with Lazar and Sheahan on the 3rd. Quote
