Interesting, don’t drink too much and his point about talking to and explaining things to those you coach instead of yelling and screaming at them is great.

Nice story but I’d be interested about his plans now that he’s not with Devils. I’d like to see him here, not because he played here but because of his pedigree and how well respected he is.

Grier is one of my favourite 3rd liners ever. Smart, tough and classy, with such presence.

Loved Grier as a player, thanks for the link.

It's great to see him having success on the coaching side as well.  Must be pretty cool for him to already have been in the Devils organization when they brought in Ruff.

Grier declined to be part of Lindy’s staff which is why I suggested hiring him here.

I'd gladly have Grier on the Sabres coaching staff (particularly if it helped with the PK prowess in any way) or also out here as part of Seattle's expansion.
