Lines have been unchanged since they announced the team. Looks like Tourigny has a pretty clear idea of how he wants them lined up, at least until something goes wrong. 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted December 19, 2020 Report Posted December 19, 2020 Our prospect is the top-line center for Team Canada. Our other prospect is the top-line winger (albeit the "other guy" on the line) for Team Canada. This is so wizard, Ani --- in the parlance of our times. 1 Quote
bunomatic Posted December 19, 2020 Report Posted December 19, 2020 I’m more excited for WJH than Christmas. Wife is gonna snap ! 2 Quote
LTS Posted December 19, 2020 Report Posted December 19, 2020 Grabbed Sling. NFL Network so we can watch the Bills game today (thanks NFL for stupid rules keeping Rochester stations from buying the rights) and then the World Jrs. 1 Quote
Derrico Posted December 21, 2020 Report Posted December 21, 2020 I cannot wait to not only watch Quinn and Cozens but watch the two of them playing together. I hope that line sticks and both have a good showing. First pre-tourney game for Canada is against the Russians tomorrow at 6 for those interested (and can get the feed). Quote

DonInBuffalo Posted December 22, 2020 Report Posted December 22, 2020 full schedule here: https://www.fearthefin.com/2020/12/19/22190857/2021-world-juniors-championship-wjc-iihf-full-schedule-rosters-how-to-watch-tv-broadcast-streaming looks like NHL network is carrying all the games. Canadian TV will presumably be showing all the Team Canada games as well. Quote
LGR4GM Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 Marco Rossi... just he's... I feel sadness. Quote
Brawndo Posted December 23, 2020 Author Report Posted December 23, 2020 The OHL has pushed back its start date from February 4th to an undetermined date. I wonder if the Sabres bring Him to Buffalo and have him stay on the Taxi Squad or if he is determined to eligible for AHL until the OHL Starts. Quote
Shootica Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 I forgot just how good of a skater Ryan Johnson. Not a ton of ice time that period, but he's so smooth out there. 2 Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 1-1 after 1 US Finland. Americans on the PP most of the game which cut into Johnson’s ice time, but he looked poised and assertive defending and moving the puck. Separated the attacker from the puck, and made smart breakout passes on the tape. And very mobile; a beautiful skater. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 That Caufield’s got some nice hands. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 Johnson coughs it up at the offensive blueline, resulting in a 2on1 against. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 Johnson pinches to take it off the boards and hard to the net for a scoring chance. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 It’s the Zegras and Caufield show tonight so far in terms of guys who catch your eye. Lundell and Turcotte have shown very little, and I don’t think it’s a case of me just not seeing the little things. Something hateable about Kaliyev. Glad we didn’t pick him, glad he’s not in our division. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 Slick hands by Johnson at the blueline to keep it in, leading to a scoring chance. He’s shown better puckhandling than I was expecting. Playing some 4-on-4 here, first time he’s played anything situational. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 Finns finally showing up, seeing more from Lundell here. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 And now something from Turcotte. The game has gotten tighter. Quote
dudacek Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 (edited) 3-2 US final. Johnson’s game was weaker in the 3rd. The US got stuck in their zone on a couple of his shifts. He played on the 3rd pair, on a team that dressed 9 defencemen. I thought he certainly looked like one of their top six, but not a key guy. His skating is definitely an asset. I was going to post the same thing. Johnson is fast, but otherwise he didn't impress me. He is likely a long way away from the nhl. Quote
