I'm not saying the last 4 years were good (pretty bad) but the other guy is a train wreck. Mods, are we going to let this political thing go? If so I'm really do go at it with someone who brings it up in a gameday thread.

There is a well advertised Club for that talk. There is not a mod online now, so I suggest that anyone who participated (you know who you are) delete your political based post and we forget it ever happened. telling someone to slit their throat and die? that's at least an in person hearing... right? 1

LabattBlue Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 One other complaint…had to go to “early voting” here in WNY, because I will be out of town on Election Day. Waited almost 40 min. What are all you idiots doing here, when if you vote on Election Day you are in and out in less than 5 min. ….and no, I don’t believe all these people doing “early voting” will be out of town next Tuesday. 1

Record numbers of voters the last 2 presidential elections. I would have hated to see what the voting lines would have looked like if early voting wasn’t available. And I think you would have hated it too. Cut the early voter participation in half and add them all to Tuesday and voting would truly suck.

I don’t remember crazy lines the last two presidential elections, and was early voting even a thing then?

I lived in Daytona Beach, FL from the late 1990's to 2001, and in the 2000 election in Volusia county we had early voting back then 24 years ago and the lines were LONG for voting early.

A country that spent 5 trillion on wars during Bush and Obama and $42 billion on high speed internet without connecting anyone, can't find more money to open more polling sites and hire people to count votes on election day. 🤣 Korea has a population of 52M and they count all the paper ballots on election day. American voting is worse than 3rd world countries.

And some states like Pennsylvania don’t allow mail-in ballots to start being counted until the polls in their state close. It’s not a money issue, it’s a political issue decided by state legislatures. 1

I hate to tell you this but minorities are smart people and they don't need white people with savior complexes coming to their rescue. It is insulting to minorities. Minorities have ID's and they are just as capable as white people at getting to a polling station. If this thread doesn't allow political replies, apologies. I assume a complaint thread has a lot of leeway. Edited October 31 by Idemo Buffalo
Night Train Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 There should be tons of voting machines everywhere. Phone voting. Paper ballots should be extinct. Might as well count votes with an abacus if you wish to keep going backwards.
