LabattBlue Posted January 13, 2021 Report Posted January 13, 2021 Are any teams going to start the season even with a couple thousand fans?

Bettman was starting to talk about that on NHL Tonight about 15 minutes ago. Rewound the DVR to the show beginning and watching it on tape delay now, so should have an answer in about an hour.

Norcal Posted January 13, 2021 Report Posted January 13, 2021 Nolan Patrick. Still young, will he meet his potential? Or injury history doom him?

He said there are no fans initially. But he also said TB was going to have a few fans but decided to cancel that due to increasing cases in FLA. He then said that 5 or 6 teams play in places that allow limited # of fans and he expects 3 or 4 teams to have fans. (Not sure if that meant down the road or now. And no idea how many is "a few.") 1
Taro T Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 (edited) Jimmy Vesey came over the boards before that p***y Hyman got off the ice leadding to a PPG for Moe-ray-all. And nearly forgot Bogosian took the Loafs' 1st penalty. Haven't noticed Simmonds yet. End of 1, Habs 2 - Loafs 1. Edited January 14, 2021 by Taro T
Thorner Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 I want to see Jack and Hall vs the Bogo pair. Too bad.
GASabresIUFAN Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 There has been a Hudson Fasching sighting. He is on the Yotes taxi squad. Good for him. Maybe he'll get a chance there. 1

Good for us they have those 3 guys in line up but so weird we don't get to play them. 1
SABRES 0311 Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Malcolm Subban letting in three in the first. Philly showing Pittsburgh what’s up.
Getpucksdeep Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Bogo caught again. Leafs lineup is so dusty after the flash on top. I want to see a Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds line. 1
Shootica Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 (edited) I know Chicago isn't trying to compete this year, but I don't know how you go into an NHL season with that goalie group. That team is going to be miserable to watch, and downright demoralizing to play for. Meanwhile, Toronto's defense looks rough. Edited January 14, 2021 by Shootica
Taro T Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Sooooo glad Anderson is the Loafs goalie. He's too good to actively look to upgrade, but will never win it all because he just gives up too many bad goals.
dudacek Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 It may be different come playoff time, but the Leafs are notably slower than the Habs. It will be interesting to see how all those old and slow character veterans work out.

Getpucksdeep Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Booo Leafs win. OT looked like men's league. These guys are not in shape yet.

Hope that’s true for most but not true for us. If Casey had been handled properly, he’d be entering his first full season, centring The 3rd line and we’d be hoping he’d look like Nick Suzuki. 1

But you are right, we would have known yet.
