After that play, Panarin was the aggressor, it was a hockey fight and Panarin (at his size) had no business going after Wilson. It's hockey, and why smaller players didn't make the NHL years ago because they would get rag dolled and injuried in physical confrontations.

Wilson would not have done this years ago because he woulda had to answer to Probert or Twist or Ray at some point. You think he's gonna release his hold of Panarin because of threat of disciplinary action? Lol.

Anyways cannot believe McDavid has 91 points in only 50 games (31 goals 60 assist). Absolutely incredible display! Of course they are playing in the weak Northern Division but still amazing. he has 6 games to get 9 points to hit 100 in only 56 games! I say he does it...they play Vancouver for the next 3 games, then Montreal for 2 before one last game versus Vancouver. Neither Van or Mont great defensively so Connor should rack up points no problem... Meanwhile Austin Mathews has scored 39 goals in 48 games...Leafs only have 4 games left so no chance for 50 but still amazing as well. Edited May 4, 2021 by Sabre fan

Based on this league's track record, that would seem to be a valid assumption.

Claude Balls Posted May 4, 2021 Report Posted May 4, 2021 (edited) I watched a great documentary on Prime last week called "Ice Guardians". Won't be a popular show for people who think fighting is dumb and should be banned. They polled the entire league and 98% of the players don't want fighting taken away. They also think the instigator rule is stupid as well. As for concussions, they had a neurologist do many studies and his conclusion was that only 5% of concussions resulted from fights. They also showed that how in the Euro league, there are a lot more dirty plays because there is no fighting allowed. Guys are more open to taking cheap shots because they don't have to fight. It was an eye opening documentary to be sure. A lot of things I didn't know, and was surprised to find out. Razor even got some face time on the show. Edited May 4, 2021 by Claude Balls 2 2
