It’s a bad move if he isn’t signed. This. The other thing that might make sense is there is a more expensive player coming in and this is essentially a space creator. The Sabres still have more than $32 million in cap space with another 10 players to sign. Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Lol. Because Buffalo. KA better have a deal in place for Kahun or he should be fired. This kid has performed at a solid clip offensively in his two years in the NHL and was very solid in his limited time here. He is a RW but can play anywhere. Just dumb not to re-sign him. 2 Quote
Thorner Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 ^I've had him helping Cozens along on his line for a while. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 When is the next time Adams will be available to explain this decision? Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Guess Quinn is making the team at right wing... Just now, Trettioåtta said: When is the next time Adams will be available to explain this decision? Tonight he will have a post draft presser Quote
Thorner Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 You'd think if they did have a deal close they'd leak the rumour considering Jack Quinn's introductory social media posts (which I hope he isn't reading) are being flooded with big kahuna energy Quote
thewookie1 Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 According to our local AP guy, Kahun and the Sabres will look to hammer out a deal tomorrow but it definitely sounds like Kahun wants much more than the Sabres are willing to give him and they didn’t want to deal with arbitration. LGR4GM Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Either Adams is playing 4d chess or ... 2 1 Quote
Trettioåtta Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Kahun put up 45 points and has decent defensive metrics. Surely he is worth $2.5 - 3 million for a few years Quote
Thorner Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Hamilton seems to think the Sabres want him for a ridiculously low amount haha Quote
Gabrielor Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 It's the Scott Wilson scenario.Trying to pay less than arbitration would give.Risky. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Isn't his qualifying offer like 3.75mil? Quote

Thorner Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 So basically it comes down to - was it worth it to forgo the QO and lose exclusive negotiating rights in an effort to avoid arbitration? Quote

thewookie1 Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Well if he wants over 4mil I don’t mind the lack of a QO Quote
Thorner Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 Do we know if it's true you can walk away from arb? Quote
