That’s not as bad as Montour - as much as some in here see it differently, he fits the profile of the Hinostrozzas and the Stechers that aren’t getting QOs - but it still seems ridiculous.

Not enough to walk away from i would think. This is a horrible move. Just my opinion of course which means nothing,  but this is more surprising to me than the Quinn pick.

I wouldn’t be so sure. From what I’ve seen there are a ton of 3rd-line arb-rights players around the league getting the same news.

GMs would rather sign a UFA replacement for $1 million than risk paying them $3 million in arbitration.

I would prefer that if his deal is in the works, we extend a QO and then fix it instead of technically exposing him to UFA 43 hours from now.
