MakeSabresGrr8Again Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 Only the Eastern Conference? This has "bust" written all over it and JBot needs to be fired for this immediately, LOL. Congrats to Dylan and hope he has a long and successful SABRES career. Quote

What's really going to blow your mind is that this also makes him the Player of the Year of the Central Division (not the East Division, mind you) of the Eastern Conference of the Western Hockey League. ? 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 It is amazing what happens when you don't rule out an entire league of talent for your drafting purposes because you have some stupid misguided idea about needing 4 years for every prospect to figure out if they will make it. But hey, at least they didn't ***** up this pick like the other one. Cozens is going to be good. 1 Quote

LGR4GM Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 The nice thing if you watch Cozens is that he drive the net, his shot is getting better, he is fast, he uses his body. He really works hard out there. As much s#!t as I give the Sabres on scouting, they do seem to want hard workers which is a plus. Hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard. 4 Quote

Wasn't it Herb Brooks that said, "We're not talented enough to win on talent alone." 1 Quote

True but as is turns out, given how many of those guys played a long time in the NHL, that was one talented hockey team... Quote

CHL players are an option in the first round, with a high pick, but he's not selecting anyone from the CHL outside of that, as we've seen in 3 full drafts already.
