It’s almost painful to listen to for those of us from back in the day. I grew up with with him on my clock-radio as a young fan. Time yields to no one. 2 Quote

thewookie1 Posted July 25, 2021 Report Posted July 25, 2021 Before he retires, I’d like him to record a “Sabres win the Stanley Cup!” For future use. No announcer’s voice deserves to be heard more over a Sabres Cup win then his. 1 Quote

Andrew Amerk Posted July 25, 2021 Report Posted July 25, 2021 (edited) RJ is like that stuffed animal we all grew up with. We loved him, and still don’t want to let him go. I fell asleep to his voice on my clock radio so many nights in the 80’s and early 90’s. He was like a family member. I made sure to go to the game when he was inducted into the Sabres HOF, and I cried like a baby. RJ is awesome. It’s gonna suck when he’s gone, and he’s not replaceable.
