Maybe he just doesn’t feel like having it. Seems like if you are famous it’s issued to you but completely unnecessary.

I’ve seen other players from other teams say turning off the outside noise helps their game. Jacks likely felt that its a distraction reading what the media and fans are saying. I don’t blame him.
