A reason to drink.  I'll take it.

A good way to stay sober is to play the Jimmy Vesey drinking game.  Every time he scores, you take a drink.

I was working for the Colorado game, missed it totally. Watched it last night and saw the same ol sabres.

Chances are I may not see this one tonight, hopefully that means a W.

This team, just so frustrating

I think next year would tie the record!

The Division is just so damn tough right now. And in 2 to 3 years, depending on what they do with all of their accumulated draft picks, we could see the rise of both Ottawa and the Red Wings surpassing us.

The tank, to date, has been without a doubt, the largest catastrophe in this organizations history save the Regis bankruptcy affair. Just a complete disaster. Imho.

Hiring a GM three years into a rebuild with a completely different roster philosophy is the bigger disaster.

Spot on.  In actuality if we would of just let Darcy continue we would of been better off.  The last of his picks did some good things.  Mcnabb is a stud.  Armia and Compher are great middle six wingers.  GMTM traded them away, and a ton of draft picks Darcy amassed, with nothing to show for it now.  He did, to his credit, bring in a stud center and winger, and then JBot went on to trade them away for next to nothing.  Same mistake twice within a few years.  Between our drafting, wasting of assets, and horrendous player development, coupled with a carousel of coaches and philosophies, and the buffoonery of horrible cap management and horrible signings...this could be an indefinite state for much longer then we like to imagine as possible.  I honestly believe we are the absolute worst organizationally run team in the league and it's not even close.  The proof is in the 9 year drought which is headed for unprecedented record territory.  It's almost an artform to be this bad.  We are the outlier for extreme ineptitude and some bad luck.  I am not mad at the tank at all.  It could of very much worked out with the right GM overseeing it.

Would like us to finish strong. Not likely to make playoffs but would like to see this team finish well.

For a reason, so far I've heard 1. To buck up Jack and 2. To convince players to come to Buffalo. I haven't heard any truly compelling reasons why the end to the season matters a'tall.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jack sit out tonight.  He was so "not himself" yesterday.  No push, no drive, no shot.  He gave it his best which seemed about 70% early on and slowly slipped as the game progressed.

I still think we have a legitimate shot tonight; they have played on-par or even better than the other two teams on this trip thus far and yet have nothing to show for it. Eventually we have to get a win....

I can think of one.  Because winning always matters, and the fanbase needs to see it again.

Most games are replayed in the morning some time.

Yes it would!  That's the Florida Panthers of the 2000s and the recent Oilers.

Both tied for longest droughts ever at 10 years.

I feel confident this is a record that we can, and will, OWN with the passage of time.

Let's Go Buff-a-lo!
