LGR4GM Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 On July 1, 2011 the Sabres signed Ville Leino to a dumb contract they would later use a compliance buyout on. Since that contract was signed the Sabres have not made the playoffs once (9 years). The contract is still technically on the books until July 1 of 2020. At that point he will officially be gone from this team. Will we make the playoffs this year? Or will the curse survive in its entirety for all 9 seasons he was technically part of this team? Quote
Stoner Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 He also scored that goal that time. Quote

Mustache of God Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 This was the first case of Pegula meddling, right? Leino eliminates us from the playoffs and Terry tells Darcy to go over pay him? 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 Ehrhoff was a solid top-4 PMD. He'd be a great player (in his prime) for JBot's roster. His contract wassa bomba bad! (not the 4M/year hit, but the structure.) We were rightfully punished for it. But this reminds me... The Moulson won't be with us, always. Nor the Skinner. Truly, the Ehrhoff is strong in this one. Formerly Allan in MD Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 How do I get a long term deal from the Pegulas as well? I played and coached, and would get released or traded. 1 Quote
