A middle six winger for two UFAs, I’ll take it

Pretty sure Rodrigues is an RFA, but considering he doesn't fit into the Sabres plans, he might as well have been a UFA.

Maybe this is the back end of a gentleman's agreement related to the Hunwick cap dump we took with Sheary.

The thought had crossed my mind.

Responsible two-way player, knows how to defend and can contribute some offense.

It's not just all about the points, he's the type of guy they needed along with Simmonds.

Unless he takes off in Pittsburgh, I have a hard time seeing him get that qualifying offer given the price tag.

We need offense. We already have guys that are good at shot suppression

Can't score if you don't have the puck.

We have the puck plenty, our problem is offensive zone creation once we get it

Perhaps.

But these are guys you trust to put out there at the end of tight games.

And Simmonds should replace Risto on the PP net front.

We have to score to have tight games in the first place. Or, if we score enough, we don't need tight games

We have one of the best records in the league when leading in the 3rd period, seems like we're pretty good at that already eh?

Yeah, but in those case RK shortens the bench quite severely in the 3rd period.  These moves will give him a bit more flexibility and take some of the load off the other guys.

Twitter keeps mentioning Kahun has "lots of injuries". Hope this guy ain't Bogo 2.0.

82 games played last year.  50 out of 61 this year.  I guess the question is if those 11 games missed came in multiple blocks or if it was a one time thing.

I think I read that he's had several stints that were day-to-day injuries.

That's what Okposo is for.  ?

I think Okposo's success transitioning into a hardcore 3rd/4th liner may well have spurred the Simmonds acquisition.
