Six points with a game in hand

Back of Toronto. It should be pointed out two other teams are chasing the Leafs and are ahead of us. It's the not like the Sabres can make it by going .500 the rest of the way and having the Leafs collapse.

Me and my Habs fan buddy were talking about it last night.

Every time we’re ready to quit on the season, the Leafs and the Panthers open the door again.

Sabres are 6-3-1 over their last 10.  If they play that pace over the next 20 and win the last game of the season that’s 92 points.  I wonder what the magic number has to be but that would be close.

depends on the leafs...hopefully after last night's game they fall apart....and panthers and canadiens

Nope.  As mentioned we need a record of 13-6-2 minimum to have a look.

That would seem low.

It would be the minimum easiest road. After today we're even with FLA in games played. If we assume that they flatline at a 5-4-1 average in their final 20, they'd get to 92 points. If we win today, and average 6-3-1 on our final 20, we'd get to 92; that's the 13-6-2. (We have games in hand with TOR and MTL so they'd both need to also flounder down the stretch).

92 points is possible, however unlikely. We need a streak in there and are more likely needing 94-96 points.

The two games remaining vs. MTL and the 3/19 game at FLA absolutely must be wins.

It does but it could happen with the huge disparity between the Divisions.

There easily could be multiple (3 to 4 teams outside of the top 3 Met Division seeds) in the Met with a better record than the 3rd place Atlantic seed.

My hockey team has a playoff game at 4 today, so I'll catch the first via radio.com biking to the rink and will be hoping for two big wins today. The only game I've been able to watch I. The past two weeks was the ottowa game so I'm comfortable missing out if it brings a win. Ga sabres.

If there's anything this team is, they're streaky.

Do we think now that Skinner scored one he might now "turn it on", so to speak? A hot Skinner would be instrumental in a last ditch attempt at making a run to be close to the post season.

Watch him score 40 now, and we all rejoice in sabreland

We MUST WIN!!!!!

Never surrender, Never give up the ship...……………..They must fight on, to the very end!!!!!

COME ON BOYS, give Botterill the reason to pull the trigger FOR THIS SEASON!!!!!

GO SABRES!!!!

Why don’t we just throw the kitchen sink at a team for their 2c center and undo the oreilly trade? How much worse can we get
