Us old timers use to refer to that to being in the right place. And finally, before I leave for the best brewery anniversary party in Western New York, since when do power play goals count less then 5 on 5? There's probably nobody better in the league at this than, and I hate to say it, Matthews. His numbers are wildly different than Laine's Quote

They count less because most of the game is played 5v5. If he's such a bad 5v5 player that other teams score on him 5v5 his pp production won't offset that. Where's pi and his team relative +/- ... laine was twice as - as the next person on his team. Quote
StuckinFL Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 If you can get him for Risto with a bit extra, you do it. Sign him to a short bridge deal and commit to the plan you have. If HCRK is half the motivational force that he's been touted to be he should be able to squeeze more out of guys that have those kinds of issue. You don't get a coach known for analytical openness and motivational strength and then not give him any problems to solve that you can get for cheaper. If you believe in HCRK's strengths you give him the ability to showcase them to better your team for cheaper. 1 Quote

This is just not my experience watching Laine ~ 50-60 times a year. Quote

kas23 Posted September 8, 2019 Report Posted September 8, 2019 If JB is going to dump Risto for a bunch of spare parts, right now would be a great time. I don’t think many in Buffalo would notice. Quote
Brawndo Posted September 8, 2019 Author Report Posted September 8, 2019 Walters has had some hits and as well as misses, but seems to be connected in terms of Anaheim Rumors Quote

Derrico Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 Does a Laine trade help or hurt odds of a Risto to Peg deal? Would open up cap space for them. Quote

thewookie1 Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 I could certainly see WPG or ANA being interested in Risto if they deal Laine. WPG would have more assets to use and capspace ANA would have a Finnish guy who might need a friend ? Quote

nfreeman Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 Well, presumably if Laine is traded, a contract will be part of the deal, and that contract will establish some parameters for the other RFAs. Quote
