Hey, whaddaya fellers think of JBot?

What are our choices?

A) Like him. B) Don't like him. C) Sneak out in the middle of the night. Complain about and praise the moves he's made, hasn't made, or is yet to make.

We'll take C.

Very popular choice!

I can totally understand FLA not wanting to trade with BUF as we’re in direct competition for a playoff spot. CAR isn’t.

Sounds like it’s another Karlsson flip though where the GM who refuses to trade in his own conference gets fleeced because of it

You sure that Florida isn't in direct competition with Carolina? Carolina holds the #2 WC spot and Florida is fighting for a playoff spot.....

That’s your opinion

This is true.

What is also true on multiple occasions, going back to the beginning of the season, Pierre LeBrun, Darren Dreger, Elliotte Friedman and even Marty Biron have said that Jason Botterill is working hard to make a deal for a Top Six Forward.

Over the past few weeks Top Six Forwards have been moved, and Buffalo has yet to acquire one.

BUF TOR FLA are all fighting for 3rd in Atlantic. 2nd Wildcard spot will probably finish 6 ptns ahead of that Atlantic spot. And Toronto is a tire fire.

I didn’t want to trade Ristolainen to FLA, but CAR?  It’s Risto or Trouba, and the Wild GM unfortunately seems more desperate for a shake up

No. I long held the opinion that Don Waddell was a worse GM then TM, Button, Snow or Milbury.  This opinion is universally held here in the Atl.

Waddell is proving us wrong in Carolina.

Waddell's hands were tied in Atlanta by terrible ownership unwilling to spend to the cap.  He has been a fine GM.  Was he Carolinas GM when they decided not to give Skinner the big contract?  if so that was another brilliant move.

Carolina is being driven by their analytics department. The GM is actually listening to the numbers guys.

Waddell IS a horrible GM when left on his own.  But he found a goose that lays golden eggs and is smart enough to listen to his advice.  Pegula needs to figure out a way to offer Tulsky enough to get him to leave Carolina.  The 2nd round compensation pick for tampering will be worth it.

A team that lacks talent has trouble making trades? Hmmmm.....
