woods-racer
Toronto has won seven of its last eight games against Buffalo, scoring at least four goals in seven of those eight games while holding Buffalo to three goals or fewer in seven of those eight games. Buffalo has played in five straight games that have been decided by one goal. There have only been six longer streaks in the NHL this season, and the Sabres last had a longer streak of one-goal games from November-December 2018 (seven straight). The Line: Buffalo Sabres +125 / Toronto Maple Leafs -152 --- Over/Under: 6.5 Come on Sabres and beat the odds! Scottysabres
First it was the new year stretch, Then it was this home game stretch, Now, it comes down to the next couple of games, We are 11 points out of a wild card spot, 8 points out from catching the Maple Leafs in that 3rd division slot. We all know the score, Botterill's unwillingness to pay the higher prices earlier in the season to bring in help for this roster has taken a toll on the playoff chances, that is even if there were willing dance partners to begin with. But we've discussed this at length. It all comes down to what is on the roster now, can they force Botterill to at least make a couple of moves for a playoff push by the deadline? Just how committed are the Pegula's to seeing this team fight for it until the very end? It all rests on Eichel's shoulders now, but he'll need the entire team to play mistake free hockey, and some help in the scoring department. The return of Olofsson is a huge boost, can Reinhart and Skinner show up for full 60's? Can the defense hold the line and shut down the speed of Toronto? These next couple of games should tell the story.
French Collection
Still in this mathematically, a win against these guys is important. Let’s go Buffalo! Dahlin with 2 points, 4-3 Sabres.
LTS
I think I might have titled this game as Buffalo @ Toronto (South). This is yet another game where we get to listen to the damn Leafs fans at a home game. No need to debate this, season ticket holders can do whatever they want with their tickets. It doesn't change the outcome. You can blame the Sabres for sucking, but I think know that good portion of ticket holders would sell these games anyway just because of the premium they demand. And so... bring on the Leafs, and their fans. Good news is, if the Sabres give the Leafs fans reason to cheer I'll find it easier to turn the game off. And yes, it's Sunday and I've not had my coffee yet. ?
Pimlach
Beating Toronto and winning the season series against them is possible. So let’s do it.

The wild card is 6- team frenzy in the Metropolitan. But the 3-seed in the Atlantic is a 3-team (sort-of) race between us, the Canadiens and the Leafs. Back in October I bought a ticket for Sabres/Canadiens in Montreal. It's a Tuesday night game. (3/24). Sadly no Saturday nights with the Sabres this year but mid week tickets were quite cheap. Wyldnwoody44
I'll be ice skating at canal side this afternoon, that's as close to this game as I'll wanna be. Sadly, I think we're in for a rude awakening, I think a couple close wins against bad teams has us forgetting just how bad we are, and we're gonna see that tonight. Thanks Jbot, you sucked the excitement out of a rivalry game for me. Hockey Heaven

Randall Flagg
If we win this, the momentum could make peeking at the standings in a few games interesting. If we lose this, the season is effectively over. It's the biggest game of the season. So I'll be watching attentively!

Torpedo Forecheck
The biggest problems we have in the playoff race. 1. Ourselves , we need to win games in regulation. 2. the number of teams ahead of us in the standings. 3. Other than that no problem.

jsb
Sabres are on an 85 point pace which realistically is where most predicted they'd be. They are 4-2-1 in their last 7 games and 3 of those wins are against teams with better records at the moment. Eichel is on an 103 point pace. If Hutton plays they are as healthy as they've been since the beginning of the season. It's as meaningful a game especially against the Leafs this late in the season as this team has had in quite sometime. Playoffs are realistically a dream but the teams right above them, Canadians, Panthers and the Leafs, only the Leafs are playing well right now. 3rd place is probably their best hope as opposed to a wild card slot. With a point Dahlin will tie Ray Bourque for 2nd all time in points scored for a teenage defenseman. If you can't get up for this game, why are you here??? erickompositör72
Right when we're healthy enough to scratch ERod, he actually starts playing like an almost-NHL player. Despite his contributions, I just don't wanna see him in the lineup anymore. Wonder what RK will do.
