Zamboni Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Woah!Ā Someone pick him up please please pleaseĀ Quote
nfreeman Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Wow. I wonder if they'll send him to Rochester if he clears.Ā I'd guess not, as it seems like there might be a bad attitude issue that they'd want to keep away from the kids, but it's not impossible. I hope someone picks him up and gives him a chance, but I'm skeptical.Ā 1 Quote

No one wanted to trade for him and we've got better defensemen than him. I guess the hope is (edit: maybe some GM just take a flier...)Ā he doesn't report to Rochester and we can ditch the contract early? Edited February 14, 2020 by DarthEbriate Quote
triumph_communes Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 BYE FELICIA Ā Imagine all that cap-space if he were to just drop his contract so he could sign a cheaper one elsewhere. Quote

jsb Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 He was gone after this season ended anyways, nothing to see here as far as I'm concerned. Allows him to find a team that will give him a chance and/or a playoff slot.Ā Quote
dudacek Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 I'd say this means they haven't found a trade partner for him, except that I've seen a few times where a player gets put on waivers as precursor for a trade. Either way, it seems he's done in Buffalo. 4 Quote

Botterill must have thought he could actually trade that contract. Amazing. Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Something else has to be happening, I don't see any playoff bound team picking him up without the Sabres retaining some of that salary imho. 1 Quote
shrader Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Nothing will come of this.Ā They're probably just clearing him through just in case they need to later free up a roster spot next week. 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 I just don't like how this was handled earlier. As soon as Bogo and Pilut came off IR, Pilut went to ROC and Bogo should have been given a conditioning assignment of 4-5 games so we could see what he could do (and maybe he looks good and we can move him quickly). But the longer it dragged out and it's been shown he's not yet fully recovered, his value to us on-ice and off-ice isn't there. Quote

Honestly, the guy should have stayed on IR all year, worked to get his body in shape and healthy and then try a comeback next season. Ā Now it looks like he has nothing left and I doubt he gets a contract next season. Edited February 14, 2020 by GASabresIUFAN Quote

Weave Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 I, for one, will miss Concept of Bogosian. Ā He had a particular set of talents that we could use. Ā Ā I wonder what went wrong. Ā My gutĀ tells me his injuries at mid season every year were of the nagging variety that would have been handled differently if we were a team with hope. Ā I think heās another that lost his love for the game as a result of the debacle that has been Sabres hockey for the last 7 seasons. Ā And now the combo of continued no hope and the diminishing skills after missing so much time has him on the outside looking in. I hold no negative emotions over Bogo. Ā It should have worked out better than it did. 8 Quote
