Claude Balls Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 And then they go and misspell jerseys. Sounds like they got it all straightened out. Quote

Today's ceremony was well done. Though announcing Larsson at LW and Girgensons at C did lower the overall score a point or 2. ? Edited February 14, 2020 by Taro T Quote
Thorner Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Did they wear the slugs in warm ups today? Quote

Before he'd gotten canned, somebody asked him if everything was set on the celebration games and he told them yes (not sure if that was true or there was stuff he still expected to do, but got canned before following up). He then got canned and nobody bothered to follow up with Adidas, so no Goatheads. 1 1 Quote

Had expected slugs (or abominable snot smears, a.s.s. ? ) for warmups and alumni. Glad they weren't in them. (Liked the styling; but the logo was beyond attrocious.) Quote

tom webster Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 It should be noted that privately the team only takes blame for Robitaille misspell. Andreychuk did not wear that jersey on ice and team had no explanation for that picture. 1 Quote

But, if they could only pull off either the sweaters or the presentation properly, not both, and considering who we're talking about, getting both right was unlikely; IMHO, the presentation was more important, and had goosebumps when the video started and was just watching on TV. So, again, IMHO, they got the more important part right. Quote

It’s also true that tons of fans have been throwing money at the team for years to get the privilege of season tickets for a crap product. Just because someone is willing to buy it doesn’t prove that it’s not terrible. Edited February 14, 2020 by Curt Quote

That seemed the plan. ? On a related note, for kids day last weekend, they let the kids play all the games, and just like last time they lost most of them; but unlike last time when they got nothing and liked it; this time the kids were given the prizes anyway. 1 Quote

People having been desperate for B&G and their being 1/2 way through their best run (all of 2 friggin' years long <_<) since the '70's had NOTHING to do with those merchandise sales, right? How many 1,000's long was the ticket waiting list? (Clearly that was due to knowing they'd be making the star of the Apprentice's hair piece the new logo, right? Couldn't have had anything to do with the product WEARING the unis, right?) Edited February 14, 2020 by Taro T Quote

The truth is Mike Robitaille has had that jersey for a long time and he’s worn it out multiple times. In fact, he got it before, knew it was misspelled and likes to wear it. He showed up that day and put it on. It wasn’t something we gave him that night, but he wore it. In terms of Dave Andreychuk, that was '80s Night and that jersey we did give him. There is a positive and negative to that. The negative is the jersey was misspelled. The positive is the error was caught in the hallway before he went on the ice. We were able to swap out the jersey and get him the correct one before he went on the ice. Quote
