Eleven Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 The Sabres' leader in penalties in minutes is Peters, with 84. Among regular players, it's Afinogenov with 82. No player even has 85. A quick spot-check of about 10 teams turned up only Tampa with no player over 100. (Of course, if the Leaves game turns ugly, this all could change.) To put it in historical perspective, the Sabres never have had a season where at least one player didn't go over 100. The closest was 1978-79, when Jerry Korab had 104 (in a 78-game season). This has to be a huge part of the success this season. Credit: Lindy Ruff.
