French Collection Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Good, maybe Johansson will get a call to the big club and Hutton will... Quote

I don’t think so but we’ll see. It was always the plan to get UPL into Roch. this season after he rehabs. Which, he has. Quote

With the rest of the garbage. Then what? Then we've got to find ourselves a new backup goalie. Any ideas? Quote
Scottysabres Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 UPL looking good in the E, maybe it translates to the A and allows him to further his development. Hoping that is the case. UPL and Mittlestadt in the same uniform, on the same roster...……………..is this what the future of the Sabres looks like? Quote

Either that or call up Hammond and let UPL and Johansson split games in Rochester. Hammond looked like garbage on Friday. Bring up Johansson when they want to give Ullmark a night off. Quote

Would demoting Hutton to the A make him lose his love for the game? 1 Quote
pi2000 Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 There is no chance Buffalo waives Hutton. This organization is more concerned with appeasing players than icing a winning team. 2 Quote

French Collection Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 This is where he belongs, the ECHL is clearly not enough of a challenge for him. Let’s hope JBOT makes the right goalie moves to give him plenty of games. Quote
Curt Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Hmm, so UPL is going to Roch just for the week? Interesting. I’m fine with it. He is just 20 and coming off a big surgery. No need to push him too hard. Quote

triumph_communes Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 If Johansson really is playing stellar then Buffalo sure could use him. Hutton laid a total egg this year Quote

apuszczalowski Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 The Kid has shined in every league he has played in during his brief time in North America and at last years Juniors. I wouldn't be surprised if he looked like he belonged in the AHL too. As for Hutton, I don't know why anyone would be shocked, the Sabres picked him up as a 30 year old who came off of one good season (and the only one where he played close to a full workload for a starter). The hard salary cap has also created the alleged perception of appeasement maybe more then anything else. Quote
