Curt Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 Underwhelming for sure, but could Scandella have fetched more? I doubt it. 1 Quote

Andrew Amerk Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 A 3rd or 4th was the best we were getting for a rental player of Scandys caliber. Its better than nothing. 2 Quote

Stoner Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 By the way, good for Marco. He came off as a good guy and teammate. A lot of heart there. You are free, Scandy. Fly! Fly! 2 1 Quote
7+6=13 Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 Obviously not a significant trade but I don't hate it. Quote

nfreeman Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 This is a perfectly fine move. Scandy had negative trade value at the end of last season. RK was able to rehabilitate his value and the Sabres were able to get a pick for him, clearing some cap space and easing the logjam at D so Miller doesn’t need to be healthy-scratched. It’s not the good forward we need but that wasn’t going to happen in a Scandy trade. Quote
Derrico Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 Remember that time we thought we would be moving a D to bring in a top 6 forward? ***** does Botts love his bottom 6 forwards..... Quote

Taro T Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 So, apparently they don't need LH D-men. Will wait for the next shoe to drop before evaluating this one. Quote

Carmel Corn Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 Given the curse of the 50th season so far, it would be Buffalo's luck that all of a sudden we start having a rash of D-men injuries. Our situation could go from having a surplus to a deficit of NHL blue liners. I don't like to think this way, but why not expect this? Quote

Then we miss the playoffs by 25 points instead of 15? Ok I’m done. Let’s just hope this is a start to more things to come but that’s how I’ve felt since last May so not holding my breath. Quote

miles Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 i really like scandella. i hope he has a good future wherever he lands next season, hopefully not in the division. i would have preferred it been bogo, i would have been happy to lose bogo for a couple of broken sticks Quote
