Stoner Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) It's the least I can do. Last game of the decade for the Sabres. Would you put it past them to win one against all odds and pull us back in for another 10 years? Wait for it... Edited December 29, 2019 by PASabreFan 2 Quote
Zamboni Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 It's a game night in Boston. Coming off a 3-0 loss to the Bruins at home on Saturday, the Sabres will look to split their home-and-home set with the Atlantic Division leaders tonight at TD Garden. Pregame coverage on MSG begins at 6:30, with puck drop scheduled for 7. The Sabres will be without Jeff Skinner, who is expected to miss three to four weeks after sustaining an upper-body injury on Friday. If Saturday's practice was any indication, that could mean we see some new-look forward lines. Johan Larsson skated with the team Saturday after missing the past three games with a lower-body injury. Sabres coach Ralph Krueger said his status for the game will be determined this morning. If Larsson does play, he could center a line with Marcus Johansson and Sam Reinhart. The Sabres used that look in practice, with Kyle Okposo then slotting in on the right wing alongside Victor Olofsson and Jack Eichel. The four lines were as follows: 68 Victor Olofsson - 9 Jack Eichel - 21 Kyle Okposo 90 Marcus Johansson - 22 Johan Larsson - 23 Sam Reinhart 28 Zemgus Girgensons - 27 Curtis Lazar - 71 Evan Rodrigues 43 Conor Sheary - 74 Rasmus Asplund- 13 Jimmy Vesey By splitting up the trio of Girgensons, Larsson, and Okposo, Krueger said he hopes to see their habits spread throughout the lineup. That line has been one of Buffalo's most consistent this season in terms of how they play within the team structure. 1 Quote

Brawndo Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 Ullmark in net, Larsson back, Scandella out until Tuesday. Bogosian on the ice this AM with Ullmark, so he appears to be out as well. Quote
Zamboni Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 3-0 shutout last game ... I’ll be optimistic and say it will be closer ... 3-2 Bruins. Quote

I can’t see him getting the start at home against TB on NYE, so could be two weeks or more between games. He might not see any games until a back to back in mid Jan. And that’s a good thing. Quote
Pimlach Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 I boldly predicted we would sweep Boston and pummel the Lightning. I am just a homer at heart. I don't expect much but I will watch them. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 Bruins will sleepwalk to any easy win. Quote
Mustache of God Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 Yawn. Decided to take advantage of open ice at 7pm for a stick and puck, gotta love holiday scheduling at the rink. I don't see how the sabres win this but would like to be surprised. 1 Quote

Claude Balls Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 I'll be watching the Seahags vs 49ers. Should be more entertaining. Anywho, go Sabres. Quote
Scottysabres Posted December 29, 2019 Report Posted December 29, 2019 Just got home from the Bills game. First Bills game since 1986. Not impressed, 2nd and 3rd string or not, still not impressed. Let's see what the Sabres can do. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted December 30, 2019 Report Posted December 30, 2019 Let’s beat them just because of that anthem singer ? 2 Quote
Tondas Posted December 30, 2019 Report Posted December 30, 2019 They look good so far, but we've all been fooled by that before. Quote

Stoner Posted December 30, 2019 Author Report Posted December 30, 2019 Nice alert steal by Girgensons to tap it into the Boston zone. He's playing some of the best hockey of his career. Boy that looks familiar. Quote
