Agreed on Asplundh.  I can't believe they're still doing what they're doing with the defensemen.

So if it really was just a case of "flu" or food poisoning or that type of thing, Ralph's comments after the game last night are really weird.  

All he had to say was "flu" but he said anything but that.  

Kind of weird.

I was hoping EROD would be out for a bit. It looks like he didn't train at all this off-season and is completely outclassed when he's on the ice. He seems to be chasing/falling down every time I see him on the ice.

Jack says he's been dealing with this injury for a little bit.  He was on a 17 game point streak  I say, don't let that injury heal.  Seems to be working wonders for him.

So we learned a little bit more about the "flu" he had.  As you say, upper body injury he has been dealing with.  Didn't come out of nowhere.  I knew it wasn't the flu.  

Hopefully whatever it is stays in check and doesn't present a bigger problem going forward.

But in hockey speak *the flu* is an upper body injury.

I think it was bruised ribs.  It fits everything he's said about the injury.  And watching him in Saturday's game he seemed gassed/in pain a lot.  If he's got bruised ribs I have to give him props- that's a tough injury to play through.
