CSN 1969 Risto on the #1 power play hopefully. Is there a more inaccurate PP QB than him?? The puck just naturally finds the skates of whoever is receiving his passes. 1 Quote

DonInBuffalo Posted December 10, 2019 Report Posted December 10, 2019 Assuming he's been cleared to skate but hasn't yet been cleared for contact, I'm guessing it's going to be more like another week or two before he sees any game action. 1 Quote

LGR4GM Posted December 11, 2019 Report Posted December 11, 2019 I am hoping he has been sitting in the box during his injury with a coach watching the games and learning. Quote
nfreeman Posted December 11, 2019 Report Posted December 11, 2019 I hate the idea of healthy-scratching 2 Dmen once Dahlin returns. They've all been playing fairly well. Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 11, 2019 Report Posted December 11, 2019 Part of it though is that by routinely sitting 2 Dmen, you save a lot of wear and tear and come springtime the D corps should be relatively fresh. 1 Quote
dudacek Posted December 11, 2019 Report Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) Seven NHL D can kinda work. Eight can’t. Botterill has to move a defenceman for a forward who can combine with Jeff to give us a second line and he has to do it before Tampa and Toronto start their inevitable runs. He has to. (I hope it’s not Risto) Edited December 11, 2019 by dudacek 4 Quote

(I hope it’s not Risto) The only reason for it to be Ristolainen (and it is compelling) is that of the non-new guys not named Dahlin he'll bring back by far the best return. Either 1 for 1 or as the centerpiece of a package, he returns the most of anyone but Dahlin or Montour. Quote
