There is no moral victory here.  This team has won 4 games in a month.  That needs to double at minimum.  Need to start winning and putting together winning stretches.

It just doesn't matter anymore. Botterill needs to address the roster now, like in the next 7 to 14 days, if this season is to have a chance of being salvaged.

 

Not only the PK and top 6 situation, but body size, possession players and another goalie to be honest.

We'll know by Christmas if this is another write off season or they'd like to actually make a push. One thing is certain, the way it is looking now, Jacks first 5 seasons are fast becoming a wasted career here in Buffalo.

It’s encouraging, though it’s hard to be that encouraged when, well, no apparent end in sight for goalie issues. And special teams (I guess?) could be improved. 

We still desperately need that one top 6 forward addition, but yes there are good things to point to. 

On the other, more important hand though, we’ve lost 15 of our last 20 games. So does it really matter?

We got a lot of calls.  Lots of PPs.   Poor call but no excuse.  This should not have gone to OT.

McCabe was very bad.  Joker had a tough night.  Bogo is rusty and looks sloppy with the puck. 

Mitts is just not ready for all the responsibilities he had   We need a real #2 , Johansson is not a center.  

Hutton underwhelmed as usual. I really do not care for his “veteran presence”.

They have before against Buffalo. I can recall a game against Toronto 2 years ago where they picked a Sabre to open the lane and score.

at what point do you just cut ties with hutton. he is complete garbage. he is a loser and there is no reason the sabres should lose when scoring 5 goals. none

As a GM he is slow to move.  Expect nothing from him.
