Rock DJ Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Mika gets start number 2 tonite. A little late though since they are out of the playoffs.
rickshaw Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 And he looked very good too. Bad rebound on one that went off a skate. Otherwise, very solid. Canucks would have made it had Crawford not burned out Auld completely.
Rock DJ Posted April 16, 2006 Author Report Posted April 16, 2006 Yeah, he did... made some very solid saves.. Even had the crowd give him a standing O at one point. Was good to see that for him.
deluca67 Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Great for Mika. 31 saves on 34 shots. 9 on the power play. This kid will be a player some day. I just hope a team is smart enough to give him his chance. He showed a lot of class here in Buffalo. The NHL needs fmore of him and less Darcey Tuckers.
haseoke Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 the NHL needs more of anything more than it needs Darcy Tuckers. Let the hate begin. 5 o clock.

The third-period goals that Colorado scored couldn't possibly be attributed to poor goaltending. But after the game, Hrudey was pretty confident that Auld is the Canucks' starter of the future. At least Noronen should see some playing time, though.
rickshaw Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Hrudey?? How he has a job is beyond me. They also said Auld faded down the stretch. Of course he did. If Crawford hadn't panicked after Mika's only start, where the team was awful by the way, and had rotated them both, this team would be in. I fully believe that. Auld is solid but cannot steal you a game. Noronen can.
Rock DJ Posted April 16, 2006 Author Report Posted April 16, 2006 The fact they only gave him the one shot after not playing for 4 months was just plain idiotic. Yet they put him in mop-up duty, where he did pretty well. Then still refused to come back with him.
