Yes Ullmark should be expected to make a save on a shot that is deflected right in front of his glove.

Could have been, Ref called it off. Speculation was Rasmus took an indirect course to the puck or looked like he was holding back which is why Ref did that. 

Total judgement call that is probably icing 8 out of 10 times.

That’s 1 goal less than Sabre forwards 4 to 10 have scored.

Maybe a better question is how does Boston keep winning with the forwards they’re dressing?

 

Boston was down there with us in depth scoring last year too. They're just so good at team defense, and the top line is ludicrous

It was not called icing.  Looked like Risto could have taken a different angle to the puck and gotten there soon enough to negate the icing, so it was basically waived.

Love idea of planting Risto in front of goalie on PP.  I've been calling for us to acquire a Dave Andrechuck type who is big and can live on the goalie doorstep and not get pushed aside.  Need that on more than PP though.

Risto's comment during intermission interview, (in classic Ivan Drago monotone voice) "I love playing in front of the net.  I can create chaos, hit people, and make the goalie angry." 

Great to see, now lets see more of that!

Hope they finish this one out, that was a wonderful period.

I'm watching this game back home where I was for the bulk of the win streak and the hockey vibes/memories are so good. The flaws seem so small/unimportant on this particular couch
