Yeah but how can we know he hasn't been. I don't know any coaching style that stresses maximizing the number of touches before taking a clean shot.. 

This looks like to me this could be a hockey IQ, dumb player brain freeze issue. 

I think i could devise a brutal practice drill though that would be invoked for every time in a game they do this...

Yeah that is something I think Bogo can add.  They defitely are too soft in front of their own net
