Stoner Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 (edited) Retirement age is 60 in Japan, so it's not that special a day for Taro and his family. He's doing well and thinks of Buffalo often, what might have been. As you can see, he looks great, like he could still contribute to the Buffalo Sabres. Maybe one day. Actually, Taro still plays. You can see his familiar stocky build at Seibu Railway's Higashifushimi Rink from time to time. Edited November 16, 2019 by PASabreFan 1 Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 He really has aged well. He sure doesn't look 60. Those two cuties must be his grand brats. Quote
Neo Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 Wouldn’t Taro be older than 65? In any event .... 1 Quote
Pimlach Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 This thread made me think of the Phantom Sign Makers back in The Aud. The leader of the Phantoms, Steve Hill, passed away this past February and the Sabres TV crew did a tribute to him. The “Taro Says” signs were classics, many with insider humor. 1 Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 16, 2019 Report Posted November 16, 2019 Wait a minute. Stop the bus. @Taro T is old, but there is no way he is 65. Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 17, 2019 Report Posted November 17, 2019 Taro's rookie card is selling right now on Amazon for $62 + shipping of $7. That's a great price. Better hurry, apparently there is only one left in stock. Quote
