Two things Botterill indeed makes moves that are analytically based, yet his coach continues to play the Risto  McCabe in First Pairing Minutes, something they are woefully unable to do. McCabe has been a train wreck lately and yet Colin Miller is sitting in the press box tonight.

Skinner wanted out of Carolina and you know the reason why he was willing to waive his NTC for Buffalo, Toronto and Pittsburgh. The latter two did not have the cap space. They did the best they could for a return.

To me, the vs thingie means the Sabres are the visitor and if they were home it would say Carolina @ thingie Buffalo.

Colin Miller is the best defenseman we have healthy-scratched in many years.

I think he's been better than McCabe (not going to sit because of his A) and Dahlin (hard to see him sitting) both recently and overall, even if his play has tailed off a bit.

Nope.  Not the concept of vs, but the usage.

Traditionally, but maybe only for me, vs was to indicate that your team is the visitor and @ is used when your team is at home.  Again, it's probably just me.

Carolina has our number badly over the last few years, but Chicago and Ottawa could each be relatively easy wins even without a full strength lineup. They're bad teams

The Sabres beat a full strength Pittsburgh team during one of their cup seasons with both Eichel AND O'Reilly injured a few falls ago. We don't like Evan at 2C for good reason - I'm pretty sure he was literally the 1C in that game. It happens

Just use "at" consistently in every GDT title and put the home team second; that resolves every possible ambiguity and makes it easier to find GDTs.
