Randall Flagg Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 That shift right there was example 1A of the static perimeter-to-point play that will be this team's identity until more players are capable (skilled) and confident (coached) enough to change it. Quote

Jack doesn't drive the net straight on, I dunno why, he's never done it. I honestly don't think his shooting instincts are very good. The actual dynamics of his shot are all-world, and he hasn't scored 30 goals, I think that's telling. It doesn't have to be a negative, I've always said his strength is clearly playmaking. It's fine because he can shoot for rebounds quite well, it's why Skinner on his line worked SO well, cause that's Skinner's game, too. 2 minutes ago, Randall Flagg said: That shift right there was example 1A of the static perimeter-to-point play that will be this team's identity until more players are capable (skilled) and confident (coached) enough to change it. Thorner Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Sheary asleep at the wheel. Jesus take the wheel. Quote
Torpedo Forecheck Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Against a team of this type movement away from the puck is more important- and we suck at it tonight 1 Quote

What's fun about Jack is that he's basically winging it every single time - there's never any calculation that you see from guys like Bergeron or Matthews in the offensive zone. He just charges in, making stuff up as he goes, and it works because of his stupid skill level Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 We have some scary giveaways. I don’t recall any for NY as grievous as ours. Quote

Torpedo Forecheck Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Jack is in overhandle mode right now, I'd love to see some give and gos and more shots and drive the net Quote
Ogrish Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) I remember signs in the Aud,"Korab Eats Clarke Bars" during the playoffs with the Flyers in the 70's Edited November 3, 2019 by Ogrish 2 Quote
Thorner Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) When is the last time Jack has been ON a breakaway, let alone scored on one? Actually asking. Edited November 3, 2019 by Thorny Quote

Gotta wonder why the Isles can play defense like this and the Sabres can't. Maybe Steve Smith should have been replaced this season. 1 Quote
Nitro60 Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 The Sabres have settled into middle of the pack play. Making the play offs not a given. Playing with little confidence. They are not handling the pressure NYI and others are bringing. Quote
Thorner Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Olofsson is useless on the breakout. Don't want to pick on everyone, but... so much material right now Quote
Ogrish Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 I can't believe I spent the last 2 hours watching this... Who is more pathetic, the Sabres...or Me??? Quote
Pimlach Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Time running out. They need to dig deeper and get some shots. Traffic in front would be nice too. 1 Quote

Nitro60 Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Half of this team is going through the motions. Hate to say it but we saw this act last year. 2 1 1 Quote

Ogrish Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 WTF Its like Jack gave up on that play in their zone. Quote
