No. @dudaceksaid it best. He's the same player as last year with more offence. But the fandom has decided he now sucks.

Can't agree that Dahlin is the same player this year as last. I think people are definitely more inclined to notice the mistakes now, but there are more of them, less confidence.

(And worse underlying metrics as a result, if you're into that sort of thing)

That’s what everyone thinks they want. Imagine your awful daily commute to the office with all those added cars/trucks of blue collar/construction workers on the road at the same time.

The coach has been even tempered and zen like up til now; however, this certainly is the kind of game that will test that.

He doesn't suck, but he's a definite contributing factor to the team's poor performance. Why continue to submit him to that when he can go down and work confidence in to an obviously very weak defensive game.
