MODO Hockey Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 3 good scoring chances but the confidence is totally gone this game, crap 1 Quote
Weave Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Connor Sheary seems to have showed up tonight. Not sure anyone else has. 1 Quote
hockeyhound Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Rob Ray still sounds positive. Let's Go Buffalo! Quote

We are not close to being a contender. Hopefully we can make the playoffs. So in Botterill's 3rd year, they're still not close to being a contender? That's a difficult concept to accept. 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 I'm not sure how much more unlucky we can get... but I guess we'll find out. 1 Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Really most of our problems have been mental mistakes, very fixable Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 I wonder if someone is going to blame this on the number of days off. It would deserve an immediate face palm. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Post and crossbar as well as a few odd man breaks. A big save or two from Ulmark and some luck and the score is 2-2 1 1 Quote

miles Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 i didnt realistically think the sabres would win this, but ullmark needs to save more than 7 of 11 Quote

dudacek Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 (edited) Not excusing the mistakes at all, but we haven’t exactly been territorially worked. We’ve allowed four glorious chances that the opponent capitalized on perfectly. Hockey sucks that way some time. Edited November 1, 2019 by dudacek Quote

Skibum Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 This doesn't look like a beat-down; the Sabres' forwards have been playing a good game and creating chances the whole period. Hard to believe it's 4-0, but all it takes is a few quick lapses on defense. Quote

triumph_communes Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Woo. Outchanced them all period but gave up a goal each time they let up for a second. They can win this game given what they’re doing but not if they can’t freaking finish. Quote

Dahlin's was at least close, and no one was covering for him. If Jack is still doing it this far in, I don't think we should expect it to ever totally go away for Dahlin. I'm not comparing turnovers. I wasn't even the one who commented on Dahlin's play. I am genuinely curious if he knows not to make that play. For the record. I'm not the one calling for him to go to the minors. My only question about Dahlin was whether or not what we see is the finished product. Is he always going to be a high risk, high reward player. I'm still learning toward yes. No you've made it some personal vendetta to string me upa flag pole for everyone's comments on Dahlin. I had made a choice to not comment on his play anymore as you seem to critisize any thing I say. Not only am I not going to mention him ever again. I'm not going to respond to anyone's posts about him either. No emojis, no quoting posts with his name. Nada. Take your crusade elsewhere. Quote

matter2003 Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 (edited) This game could easily be 4-4. Caps have scored on all their chances and the Sabres on none of those including 2 posts, a breakaway and 2 or 3 odd man rushes...they need to do better than that. That Aud Smell Posted November 1, 2019 Author Report Posted November 1, 2019 Ironically, the Sabres looked good once I tuned in. Quote
