SABRES 0311 Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Two goals from the same area. Quote
R_Dudley Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 If Vlad can beat Lundquist then at least half the team should be shooting on net... 2 1 Quote
Jävə Keith Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Maybe I spoke too soon. How crazy would it be if Sobotka was the goal that was the hinge that turned the game in the waning seconds of the 2nd period? Quote

SwampD Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Rangers looked downtrodden heading into the locker room. 1 Quote
Eleven Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Well, girls and boys, and Inky, take a 17 minute break. We'll be right back after we try to sell you some razor blades, trucks, and bad beer. Just now, PASabreFan said: OK, Charles Emerson Winchester. @New Scotland (NS) Hold up there, why am I Winchester? I'm much more Trapper than Winchester. 2 Quote
Curt Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 So, Risto checks and a Sobotka shot leads to a goal. It’s been a strange game indeed. I feel like they haven’t been getting beat as badly as the score. They are absolutely capable of coming back in the 3rd. If they come back to at least force OT, I will be pretty fricken bought in that this is a playoff team. 1 Quote

Nitro60 Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 I expect them to come out in the third putting on the pressure and forcing the Rangers into making mistakes. 1 Quote

triumph_communes Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Reinhart is annoying me with his fumbles tonight. McCabe too. They’re dominating play, but they let in goals on the very few shifts they took off. Need to just shoot Lundy is not hot tonight. Team is hurting without Scandella and Vesey. Something I wasn’t expecting to say this year. 1 Quote
Jävə Keith Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 This 3rd Period will definitely show the spine of this year's team. Potential on Sobotka's 2P ending goal to have a locker room rally along with HCRK's positive wisdom and adjustments and a 3P played with passion and execution, taking ownership of this game playing "Sabres Hockey." Also possible we fold and say "It just wasn't our night" Looking forward to the final period. Time to refill my bourbon. 2 Quote

Thorner Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Skinner a -3 today, haven't liked his game. Dahlin has been pretty bad. Really nice breakout to set up Sobotka's goal, though. Quote

Probably something to do with their transitioning skills not matching up. I'd get Dahlin more shifts with Jack. Edited October 25, 2019 by Thorny Quote

Now this is worthy of its own thread if not a club. Separately: Panarin has been the best player on the ice. Sabres clearly lacking intensity. None of the forwards looks engaged — except Vladimir of course. Shots after 2: Sabres up 22-14. Major meathead in a Miller Jersey one section over antagonizing the crowd. This game is still winnable if they get their focus and execution back. Quote
Scottysabres Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 We need a savior this 3rd period. One player, one name...……………...VLAD the IMPALER!!! Make it happen SOBS! 1 Quote

And Sobotka has always sucked at the breakout. I don’t care if he’s the defensive guy, he sucks at breaking it out. If Johansson is overmatched then that line falls apart. And Panarin is a star, you can’t just blame Johansson 1 Quote
dudacek Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Dahlin still has one more highlight reel play in him tonight. I’m gonna guess it’s a good one. 1 Quote
