I think so. And yet, he still made some nice plays in the first period. There was a kick to keep the puck in the offensive zone in the first that he made look effortless.

Scandella is the head scratcher out there tonight. 

That lob pass to center ice was an absolute head scratcher. Other than that, I think he’s playing a pretty good physical game.

Why couldn't Eichel have started shooting in the 1st ####ing period?  He's still getting a bit too slick, but at least he's mixing shots in with the passes.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but about 6 minutes into the period there was a very similar play along the LW boards that Eichel ended up with the puck and sent it to where Ristolainen should've been.  He was there this last time.

And how about that reach behind the net by Vesey to send the puck in front of the net on the far post while he was behind it on the near post.  If Mittelstadt or Sheary was in front, that'd be a goal.

Let's hope the fans stay loud this period and the team continues to draw energy from it.  Let's also hope Eichel keeps shooting some.  We all know he wants to get Olofsson his 1st non-PP goal.  It's OK for that to come off a rebound.

Keep it up Hutton, and keep skating boys.  Brand new game.
