In reality only OLED displays will benefit from this. Other LED screens need to use the LED to generate the "black" so they are still on and therefore still using battery. Not that I don't like night modes.. I happen to. But the battery savings aspect isn't always there. Quote
shrader Posted October 11, 2019 Report Posted October 11, 2019 (edited) Since it’s a sabres board can it be navy blue (for one year anyway)? Or does that defeat the purpose of a night mode? edit: And if you’re looking for examples where night mode might not work, table a look at the first post in today’s game day thread. Maybe it’s just the poster’s choice of font color, but it’s a tough read. Edited October 11, 2019 by shrader 2 Quote
Eleven Posted October 11, 2019 Report Posted October 11, 2019 Just returned from the eye doctor. This works wonders after dilation. Quote
triumph_communes Posted October 11, 2019 Report Posted October 11, 2019 Can the thumps yo be grey instead of white? Can the big reply to this topic button not be bright yellow? like it regardless thanks Quote
Eleven Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 Now I'm in good light, not dilated, and I still like this mode. Quote
kas23 Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 I still have mixed feelings about night mode. I like the darker background with lighter font color. I’m just not sure I like black or very dark backgrounds. To me, the point is to prevent the lighting up a dark room with a phone screen. So, there’s different ways to accomplish this besides black background and white text. I wonder how a dark blue background with yellow font would look like. Quote

I'm guessing that a yellow font wouldn't be too easy on the eyes. Quote
