Fantastic game.

I missed the first due to my son’s game, but it was worth rushing home. Young lad put on his Reinhardt sweater and joined me and my beer.

Solid effort and playing with a purpose. They are supporting each other and seem to be having a blast. I don’t wish any adversity on them but it is bound to happen and RK will guide them through that too.

Cant wait for the next game.

I don't know....I watched the game and I got the sense the whole game that the Devils were really the Washington Generals on skates.

I thought Curly Neal played for the Oilers now.

I'm shocked how dominant they looked so far.  Long way to go but it looks like JBot found the perfect coach for this team.

Jbot wanted him before he hired Wowie.

Being a long time Sabres fan I am loving what we are seeing so far.

However, AS a long time Sabre fan I keep expecting the let up, the sudden lack of effort, the SOS (same old Sabres)

There is a little voice that has been buried for a long time though that keeps saying this is it!  These guys are for real this time!

I so want to listen to that little voice...

That little voice is Ralph ***** Krueger.  There is no let up under RFK.

With a first period like that, who needs those little blue pills.

It moved, eh?

Have they turned the corner ?

They turned the corner and turned three more times since last season.

Rewatching and I had already forgotten about like 10 beautiful Eichel passes

There were some beautiful passes all over the place. Eichel and Reinhart are something else though.

They look like they've never played any other way.  RFK is amazing.

One of his big things is less thinking about what you are going to do, and more just doing it, right? So we should also give credit to the raw physical abilities of the players too. Like with a Risto. Credit for Krueger for realizing and implementing and motivating that strategy, though, of course.

There are a lot of things about this game that feel like 2006

I had the same thought.

Skinner in full on goad mode.

Yeah, he scores one goal and all of a sudden he's a royal prick.

I hope he scores more.

Just got back from the game. Left a couple minutes early and rode down in the elevator with Jason Pominville and his wife & kids. As far as the game went it's the second in a row that I thought we were playing an AHL team and just toying with them.

Yes.  I think that's called "swagger."  I've heard of teams that had it, but only very good ones.

So.  We're good.  Very good.
