Yes.  The Rangers asked for permission to talk with Davidson and the Jackets agreed.  Why?  Why are they not at least getting a seventh for this?  It's a lateral move for Davidson, not a step up.

Why aren't they getting compensation?  No data.

Why'd they give him permission to pursue his dream job?  Probably because you usually can't keep somebody that isn't under contract from going after their dream job.  Same way Yzerman ended up back in Detroit.

yeh not me on rangers given how much tickets cost the renovations to msg etc, hell the knicks have stunk for 20 plus years yet the Garden is always sold out

Rags are almost always ranked as the most valuable franchise.  MSG's local market has over 11MM people in it.  And thereis serious money there with Wall St.

Imagine how valuable that franchise would be if they were sustainably good.

Thank goodness there's a salary cap or the Rangers would be trying to get the best player at every position and make a team out of them. The Leafs would throw crazy money at every guy that wore their pyjamas growing up,.
