SDS Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Couldn't you call interference with the continual pushing of VO over the boards? 1 Quote

Randall Flagg Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Brilliant Sam, and I freaking looooooooooooove Olofsson This gravel douche is a real lunkhead 2 Quote
Kruppstahl Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 This game has turned into some serious entertainment in the 3rd! Love the hit from RISTO! And I like Sam standing up for himself a little bit. 3 Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Is this a rivalry? Cuz it feels like a rivalry. 2 Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Sam's not hurt right? Just to the locker room since there's less than 2 mins left? Quote

Too tight a league to allow goals from behind net cuz of cheating. it will be a long season if we don’t get stellar tending Good to see ya sir! This year will be better. Quote
Zamboni Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Unless he tanks and tanks HARD, I think VO is a lock to make the team. Tonight was a statement game for him. Good for him. Reinhart being Reinhart with his passes. love it 4 Quote
Ogre Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 The most entertaining part of that empty netter was the camera shot of the crowd with all those Leafs fans making a hasty retreat. 3 1 Quote
Kruppstahl Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Great game from Reinhart. 3 Quote

steveoath Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Reinhart was phenomenal tonight. Has he stated a case for being up on the first line? Would be interesting to see VO-JE-SR as our top line. 1 Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Colin Miller looks like a nice upgrade on D. Lazar plays a heavy game, will be interesting to see what happens with him Cozens was not the same tonight Jokihru has not impressed, sad to say. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Some very encouraging signs in this one. Reinhart played fantastic. If he starts the season like that we won't get that slow start this year for sure. Power play showed signs of possible life compared to last year's debacle. I like the idea of making Risto into more of a defender, use his meanness, and that might just make the Rasmus and Rasmus pairing work. Miller impresses me. Good pick up. Solid play. Nice to see D men playing D and not Housley hockey. I see some definite hope here. Ullmark (from what I've seen) looks to be the better starter, but this team could be a lot better than last years. Good enough? Dunno, but definitely better. Always nice to beat the Leafs, even if it doesn't count. 1 Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Reinhart: Great game. VO: Ready to play with the big boys. Vesey: Solid effort; I like him better than I thought I would. Jack: Constantly driving play. Miller: Booming shot, good D. And the whole team: There were several times where they made line changes while keeping TO hemmed into their zone. How long has it been since we did that? 2 Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 I would just as soon cancel the last two games and bubble wrap everyone. This is how I'd do the lines based on what we've seen: Skinner - Eichel - ugh somebody more reliable on the wall than who's left, but I guess it has to be Sheary Olofsson - Johansson - Reinhart Vesey - Mitts - Rodrigues Zemgus - Larry - Lazar The Swedish connection was putting on offensive zone displays that I haven't seen from the Sabres in years, with their off-puck movement and passing plays. Also, Scandella hasn't shown anything to indicate we won't get more of the same this year. When everyone is healthy I'm not sure he's a top 8 defenseman on this team. 1 Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Skinner really does disappear a bit when he doesn't play with Jack. But I liked Jack and Sam tonight, and don't want all three together. 3 Quote
Zamboni Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 I just keep telling myself ... it’s only preseason. Don’t take too much good or bad from these games. No definitive knee jerk reactions or decisions. Still ... it was a nice game to see them battle and win it. Especially vs. the Leafs Quote
