I’ll be crucified for this, but I believe Cozens is the reason Botterill doesn’t feel any desperation to spend assets on a 2C. He won’t fill that role this year, but moving forward he might be the answer 3 Quote
darksabre Posted September 20, 2019 Report Posted September 20, 2019 Is it wrong to have liked Lazar's game so far? He was the butt of a lot of jokes in Ottawa. 1 Quote
Stoner Posted September 20, 2019 Report Posted September 20, 2019 Same commercials as last year? Doc still has the porn stache. Quote
matter2003 Posted September 20, 2019 Report Posted September 20, 2019 This lineup is holding their oen and at times looks like the better team...cant really complain with how they are playing for the most part... Quote

If he is a top 6 forward then you send him down until you can give him top 6 minutes and he has earned those minutes. Quote

If he is not a Top 9 Forward here, he probably would be better playing First Line Minutes In Lethbridge rather than 10 minutes a game here. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted September 20, 2019 Author Report Posted September 20, 2019 Lazar has looked good tonight, so far. Cozens looks well ahead of schedule. Tage seems improved Quote

I haven’t seen any reason yet why he can’t fill a Larsson/Girgensons role with similar effectiveness. His game seems to have the same strengths and weaknesses. 6 minutes ago, Brawndo said: I’ll be crucified for this, but I believe Cozens is the reason Botterill doesn’t feel any desperation to spend assets on a 2C. He won’t fill that role this year, but moving forward he might be the answer And I’ll be crucified for not jumping off the Casey bandwagon yet, but I will be surprised if one of those two doesn’t evolve into a good 2C. Unfortunately, you’re right, it won’t be this year. But it is a reason for caution about overspending when we’re shopping. 5 minutes ago, Andrew Amerk said: Lazar has looked good tonight, so far. biodork Posted September 20, 2019 Report Posted September 20, 2019 Well, NHL TV auto-renewed my subscription, so I guess I'll watch/listen. I have a lot of work to do to re-acquaint myself with the team, but I sure hope they make it worth the effort this season. 4 Quote

bob_sauve28 Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 Sweet pass by Cozens off the boards Quote
dudacek Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 Ralph said he wouldn’t be matching lines, but it seems like Babcock might be. Casey has got the Matthews line almost every shift. Quote

dudacek Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 If you told me Pilut switched his number to 78, I would believe you. Bryson’s got some game. Quote
... Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 No one was going to the net, otherwise Cozens might have had an assist there. Quote
