Meh.  This has no bearing on trading Ristolainen.

There's no way the organization is all in on making the playoffs this year anyway.  They are setting up for next year.  You don't have to like it, but with where Toronto, Boston, and Tampa currently sit, the mountain they need to overcome is pretty high.

Get him healthy, the season is long.

I remember watching SCTV  using a rabbit ears antenna to get the Canadian stations (on a clear night in NT) in 1979.  Eugene Levy, John Candy, Dave Thomas, etc.  Great show with a great cast.

That’s awesome. I wonder what the panda was really doing.

Maybe he was thinking I once roamed the bamboo forest and now I am stuck in a 3rd rate zoo sitting in a pink chair an am hamming for youtube videos?

So when should we expect this organization to be all in for the playoffs?

The number of contracts coming off the books leaves open the possibility of tooling the roster to its true potential.  Tampa will be in a tough situation to keep all their players, Boston will be getting a bit too old, Toronto.. well. hah.

Contracts expiring at the end of this season for Buffalo:

UFA: Sobotka, Sheary, Vesey, Girgensons, Larsson, Wilson, Bogosian, Scandella, Hunwick

RFA: Reinhart, Rodrigues, Mittlestadt, Montour, Ullmark, Thompson, Olofsson, Lazar

Rostered: Eichel, Skinner, Okposo, Johansson, Ristolainen, Miller, McCabe, Dahlin, Hutton

Basically, they can let the UFAs walk or trade this year and get something.  They can qualify whomever they want for RFA and sign them. Only Reinhart will really be a question mark with regards to contract.

They will have money open to make things happen.
