Cheektorado Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Perfect timing to turn the game on. Sheesh Quote
darksabre Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Okposo-Sobotka-Pekar is a worthless line. Quote
triumph_communes Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Even in preseason Sobotka is awful Quote

You haven't heard that from me. I thought (and still think) that he is their most reasonably tradeable asset, but I definitely think he belongs. Didn't mean to imply you did say that. Randall Flagg Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 This is certainly preseason hockey! It's not depressing to see preseason hockey in the preseason, it's the way of the league. The only thing depressing about today is how similar it looks to Sabres regular season hockey! Quote

Pekar should not be punished simply because his parents lived in the same country that Sobotka's did. 1 Quote
Thorner Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) Casey's line < 30% possession at 5 v 5 - - - If Cozens pans out, with his speed, perhaps he'll be the better fit at 2C, and Casey could be best suited to wing in that scenario. Depending if we want one of the 3 at 3C, I guess. Edited September 18, 2019 by Thorny Quote
DarthEbriate Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) Greetings, 'Spacers. So, no one is showing the spark of the Moulson in their play tonight? Edited September 18, 2019 by DarthEbriate Quote

darksabre Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Rough stat from Ray there, Mitts 1-8 on faceoffs tonight. Quote
dudacek Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Sam’s game has picked up after a poor first period, but CAsey continues to weigh his line down. Quote

thewookie1 Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) I think Mitts needs to have some time to grow into his slightly larger size. His D awareness is a bit better though Edited September 18, 2019 by thewookie1 Quote

Zamboni Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 I think Mitts needs to develop. Just like it took (and taking) Reinhart years to develop. Just like it took VO. Just like it took (and taking) Ullmark. Just like it took McCabe. I’m not in the least worried about Mitts. He’ll get there. Quote

If he was a little faster, I'd be fine with trying him at 2C again. But with so much of his game being making nice passes on the rush and interacting with his linemates there, that really don't want to see him primarily starting rushes 30-50 ft behind them. It will take away a lot of his value in the neutral zone & breakout. 1 Quote
