Olofsson, then Pekar with a pair in the 2nd after Asplund scored in the first, for those who aren’t watching.

4-1 Sabres.

That's the way it usually is (Kessel excepted).

Our kids are better than the other guys kids.  Which is nice.  Too bad we're legitimately into year 6 of nfreeman's expectation of a tank resulting in 7 years of being awful.

Been expecting the Sabres were within 2 years of being relevant for about 3 years.  Believe that could be accurate FINALLY.

Couldn't last year's expectation that the Sabres would be relevant by next season still pan out?

More importantly, how did RaKru look? Was he behind the players? (This season I refuse to say "behind the bench." It makes no sense. Why not "in front of the bench"?)

Taylor is coaching the tournament. And coaches literally stand behind the players’ bench. If they were in front, players couldn’t change lines.

Oh wow, PA, I didn't know you had such an optimistic streak in you.

?

The coaches stand behind the player's bench as #freejame said. Only in Russia are the benches in front for some strange reason.

What makes the area where the coaches stand "behind" the bench instead of in front of it? The bench is an inanimate object whose design gives it no real orientation. You could flip it around. Then would RaKru be in front of it? It's the players the coach is standing behind.

Ah, but here's the rub: The players are sitting on the bench that the coach is standing behind, so the coach can't simultaneously be standing behind the players but in front of the bench. Since that is an impossibility then he must be either sitting behind both or sitting in front of both. You have already conceded that the coach is standing behind the players, thus he is also standing behind the bench.

The players are clearly sitting the wrong way.

OK, now you're talking out of both sides of your mouth. Earlier you said: "It's the players the coach is standing behind". Make up your mind.

RaKru and players are clearly facing the crowd behind them.

Also, it was Edward R. Murrow, not Uncle Walter, who said, "Good night and good luck." Otherwise this discussion is historically accurate.

They must have been two-faced then. You make up more sheet than a hotel maid. We all know that "Good night and good luck" was Tokyo Rose's sign off.
