dudacek Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 Gosselin is the weak link on the blueline today. Cozens sure hasn’t lacked creativity tonight. Quote
dudacek Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 Team in general has fallen off, but Fitzgerald has continued to look good. Of the lesser names, he’s the one I’ve liked the most tonight. Quote

I’m glad that Gosselin is included. He was a late signing last year and did a decent job. I’m guessing Taylor liked what he saw because he quickly earned a fair amount of ice time going into the playoffs. It’s good to get these guys going so soon. Quote
Thorner Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 Well, 10 goals, about what you'd expect. Quote

pi2000 Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 How was Cozens vision and awareness? Did he skate into traffic with the puck? Quote

He picked up his man well defensively and made some pristine passes through traffic to set up good chances. And yes. Quote

I feel like this implies he can't or wasn't aware. He drove the net a couple times but seemed fairly aware of his teammates. He moved well in the pp before taking his shot. It was a very hard low shot that was just a flick of his wrist. He got better each period I thought and the goal in the 2nd seemed to boost his confidence. I also noticed some more puck skills. Still has work to do but he did stand out more than Hughes. I might rewatch the feed to see if that was the case though. 1 Quote

triumph_communes Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 How far off is Pekar from the NHL? Great glue guy to have Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 I can see Pi's and Sizzle's reservations w.r.t. Cozens. I think he's going to get better in the areas he has them concerned but I can see where they're coming from. Also, I'd honestly rather sit Joki and Olofsson the last two games, and wrap them in bubble wrap until training camp this week 1 Quote

He’s far from an NHL guarantee. Disagree. He’s the player that will make it, just a matter of when. He’s always played up to better competition when he’s faced it. Quote
