LGR4GM Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 How on earth do you not have Hasek on that team? Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 I ordered NHL 20 because I'm a sucker Quote

dudacek Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) Best 12 Sabre forwards, regardless of position: Perreault, Lafontaine, Eichel, Hawerchuk, Gare, Martin, Mogilny, Peca, Foligno, Andreychuk, Robert, Ramsay Top 6 defence: Ramsey, Schoenfeld, Housley, Dahlin, Zhitnik, Campbell Top 2 goalies: Hasek, Miller Off the top of my head at least. GASabresIUFAN Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) What would be your team? Mine: Martin Gilbert Robert Mogilny LaFontaine Andreychuk Vanek Hawerchuk Foligno Ramsay Luce Gare Housley Ramsey Zhitnik Hajt Bodger Schoenfeld Hasek Miller Skinner Eichel Reinhart and Dahlin will threaten this list sooner then later. mphs mike Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 If we're choosing two goalies, I'm putting Crozier with Hasek. Quote
#freejame Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 I find it surprising how many of these lists are neglecting Geoff Sanderson. It’s a travesty when greatness isn’t appreciated. Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted September 6, 2019 Report Posted September 6, 2019 I was gonna ask where Card, Grigorenko, and Zagrapan are on that list. Quote

I would like EA to offer just a bit more cash to at least make it interesting. It's not like sports games are exactly cash-strapped. But more to the point for me --- EA should be offering up the best teams of every franchise per decade. It's not like they can't import/push billions of players out to the gamers. And... I want the entire French Connection, or the entire Russian Five circa '96 (pre-Buffalo-Kovlov), or the entire '99 roster with Hasek at 99 rating. Then, you can mix-and-match across eras as well. But the team would be the thing to have. And 1999 Michael Peca is no 80-rated skater. C'mon! 1 Quote

dudacek Posted September 6, 2019 Report Posted September 6, 2019 From watching them play that’s an easy one for me. Statistically, it’s pretty close. NHL scoring rank over their first 4 seasons: Eichel: 59, 54, 56, 24 Turgeon: 143, 20, 7, 27 Eichel missed about 1/4 of season 2 and 3 while Turgeon was healthy.Projecting his PPG over a full season would have put him in the 20s each year. 1 hour ago, Weave said: Eichel over Turgeon as well. Then why no Ryan Miller or an edited Winter Classic jersey? Plus why use Housley's picture from his Calgary days? It makes 0 sense Quote
Ogelthorpe Posted September 6, 2019 Report Posted September 6, 2019 What about Taro Tsujimoto? EA Sports is a shell of its former self. Lol Quote

Good list but Luce is missing. I would argue he did more as a Sabres than Hawerchuck. Same with Vanek Hajt over Zhitnik, and Campbell. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted September 7, 2019 Report Posted September 7, 2019 (edited) To say Dahlin after one season is a Sabre all time great is way to early. It’s like TBN putting Myers on the 50 greatest Sabres a few years back. Also Soupy would have made the list had he stayed here longer, but his impact was less then Doug Bodger. Bodger seems like a forgotten man here, but other then Housley he was our best puck moving and scoring D. I also don’t think Korab gets enough love. Compare his numbers to Schoenfelds. I agree on Hajt. After Ramsey, he was our best pure shutdown D. Housley Ramsey Bodger Hajt Zhitnik Schoenfeld Edited September 7, 2019 by GASabresIUFAN Quote
