Just because we have more next summer doesn't mean he's going to use it to upgrade the top 6. Quote

Skinner & Montour into top line & top pairing last season. Miller & Johansson into 2nd line/2nd pairing this off-season. With the hope that Thompson (unrealistic IMHO) & Jokiharju (quite realistic, again, IMHO) can also grow within the next 1-2 seasons into top 6/ 2nd pairing roles. That doesn't include guys that have been drafted to eventually fill top 6/4 roles. At least 1 of which is already in that role & at least 2 more have very reasonable chances of also bring there (though 1 may be forced to be top 9 just because you can't play 3 top 2 centers). And it seems so d*mn slow, because Botterill totally changed the style of player the organization is looking for. Quote

Not getting into ROR again (please!) but his top 6 has seen one real talent out, one real talent in. Status quo. 3 summers as GM. I can't complain about the defence.
