Another scoring D.  Scored 20 in the AHL last season and has gotten a few games in the NHL for the last couple of years.

Montreal native who played 4 years at Providence College.

Pegula's really letting Rochester have some players, eh?

Getting swept in the first round of the playoffs 2 years in a row is unacceptable. This needs to be fixed.

While I think post-Syd Barrett Floyd is overrated, this seems a bit extreme.

You realize that pre-Syd consisted of one and a half albums?

While I love Barrett’s stuff, he’s the Daryl Talley of rock. So many people champion his cause that he’s become over rated.

And yet ... his songs are still covered.  Slowdive’s version of “Golden Hair” proves that Barrett’s genius holds up.

Unlike his uncle, does he backcheck in overtime? (No need to Wiki it; trust me, babe.)

Only if the Captain is signed by the trade deadline.

Anybody know if he's related to history's greatest monster?  Because hell no if he is...

Maybe he's related to David Gilmour.  Lord knows, we've all become comfortably numb after the past 8 years.

A tid bit from the New York Rangers web site...

John Gilmour Bio

Gilmour, 25, was selected by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round (No. 198) in the 2013 NHL Draft, following his first season at Providence College. He played three more seasons at Providence, helping the Friars win their first NCAA championship as a junior in 2015.

On Aug. 18, 2016, Gilmour signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the New York Rangers after he was not offered a contract by the Flames.

Gilmour played for Hartford of the American Hockey League in 2016-17 and had 25 points (six goals, 19 assists) in 76 games. He played 44 games for Hartford in 2017-18, winning fastest skater at the AHL All-Star Game, before being called up by the Rangers on Feb. 9, 2018. He made his NHL debut that night against the Flames and scored his first NHL goal four nights later against the Minnesota Wild.

He scored his second NHL goal on Feb. 28, 2018 against the Vancouver Canucks, becoming the first rookie defenseman in Rangers history to score an overtime goal.

Amerks are gonna be stacked.

Love it!

Not only that, but it helps when injuries ultimately hit the Sabres, there are quality options available to come up and pitch in. The less “barely an AHLer” call-ups, the better. Good Depth keeps a franchise healthy and competitive.

Also, was the Hartford Wolf Pack's leading scorer last year as a D-Man.  That's impressive.  He and Zach Redmond on the PP for the Amerks sounds good.

Floyd would not be Floyd without Barrett's epic fail, there would have been no Dark Side of the Moon, no Wish You Were Here, no The Wall.
